Yes, edible sheets are pure vegetarian and can be consumed in vegetarian diets.

Wafer paper is thicker wafer card than sugar sheets. Edible images printed onto wafer paper will not be as high quality as those printed onto sugar sheets making it less suitable for cakes.

Sugar sheets or commonly known as frosting sheets, are not paper but thin layers of icing that have been pressed onto a flexible plastic backing (need to peel off). Wafer paper has no plastic backing to peel away and it requires your images to be pre-cut individually.

Note: Wafer paper does not give as vibrant an image as sugar sheets; wafer paper is also not as easily absorbed into the cake's frosting. Wafer paper will only stick well to cakes and cookies that have been coated either in cream, royal icing or fondant and because the wafer paper is translucent it is best to use white coatings as a tint of the underlying icing color will always show through. Always allow the icing or fondant to dry so that the wafer paper has a firm surface to adhere with glaze.

Yes, Edible Printed Sheets decorations work on ice cream and other frozen products, and can be frozen after application. It is important to take precautions with freeze or thaw cycles to avoid build-up of ice crystals. Thaw finished frozen decorated products slowly, preferably in a refrigerator, uncovered, to avoid running of colors and sweating.

If the frosting on the cake appears dry or crusty, apply a fine mist of water onto the cake top before applying the Frosting Sheet. This can be achieved with an airbrush or small misting bottle.

Yes. Return the printed Frosting Sheet, once printed and place it back in an air tight sealed plastic bag. You may choose to dry the image before or after storage. Be sure to keep the image out of any direct light to prevent color deterioration.

In most of the cases, the bubbles are caused by moisture coming up from below the Frosting Sheet. The best preventative measures are to use the recommended frosting and store the image covered in a cool dry place.

The way you see your image on your computer may vary slightly in the way our printer prints with the edible colors - there are so many settings and preference for individual computers that an exact match is never possible. Also, images that you copy from an on-line source, or images that you have extracted from Word documents or .PDF files (or other embedded image sources) can use different color palettes which can affect the way the image is printed. Photographs that you scan and save as images files can also print differently depending on how the scanner interprets the colors. Usually scanning original photos is not a problem as long as you don't scan an image that was printed with a printer.

The images are printed on an actual layer of icing. The icing sheet has a backing, similar to a sticker that you will remove before applying the image to your cake. The icing sheet is sealed in a plastic bag, and can last up to 6 months before use, without refrigeration.

Icing Sheets adhere differently to different toppings. The sheet requires moisture to adhere. When using a fondant or other dry icings, you must dampen the surface you are applying the sheet to. With store bought cakes or buttercreams you should apply the image when the frosting is freshly applied, if not they can crust or dry and you must dampen the frosting prior to applying the sheet. For best results, use a white or light colored frosting where the sheets are to be placed - this will ensure that the image colors are not washed out by a darker frosting color.

Depending on how wet your frosting is, the image will begin to fade with too much moisture. If you are concerned about fading, place the sheet on the cake within an hour of the event. If you are using a cake bought at a bakery with the harder frosting, the image can be placed on at your convenience, but not more than 48 hours prior to the event.

Completely. The edible icing sheet and edible inks use FDA approved ingredients. Once the sheet is applied to the cake, it will bond with the frosting and can be easily cut with a knife as long as the frosting is dampened enough.

If your image file is too big then your internet connection might time-out before the file upload has completed.
